Having a wet or flooding basement can bring along a lot of problems:

Insect or Mold Infestation- Wet surface, like wood, are softened by chronic dampness. This attracts insects like termites is well known. Your home will soon become food for the termites. The debilitating effects of mold is also well know.

Health- The damp basement will bring an unpleasant odor, which is caused by the mold spores and bacteria, which form on wet and rotting surfaces. This results in a variety of illnesses for the elderly, the allergic, and those with weakened immune system.

Basement Components- Furnaces, water heaters, washers, dryers, and sometimes finished rooms, are often found in basements. None of these items deal well with dampness. Replacing items damaged by wetness or excessive dampness can easily double the cost of the completed project.

Dry, Comfortable Living Space- We are talking about up to one third of total living space in your home. The good news is the solution we recommend, if executed correctly, work beautifully, your basement can be a nice place to live.
